I started by researching the suggested artists.
Of all the images I have viewed during this task I like this one the most, by B Kilban. The most obvious draw for me is that the subject is a cat. I am both impressed and disgusted by the image. I like the style and the concept; however, I find the lyrics to the song hard to like, even though it is funny. This is because I like mice. I have very contradictory feelings when looking at this image.
I think that the style of the cat is cute and that B Kilban did a good job of creating a human anamorphic cat. The simple style makes a nice clean, easy to read image that doesn’t take the brain long to figure out. The colours are nice and bright, creating a light mood to the scene. The lyrics are clever and the scene reminds me of Phoebe Buffay from Friends. The lyrics are a big part of the joke as it uses the fact that cats have a love/hate relationship with mice. They love to chase them but also love to eat them.
